One Team: Uniting our colleagues through football

On Saturday 5 October, over 150 Constellation colleagues from across Europe travelled to Lommel, Belgium to take part in our annual Constellation Cup football tournament.

The Constellation Cup was conceived as a one-off event to bring our staff together as One Team. The first event in Nijkerk in 2023 was a huge success and extremely popular, and so we decided to host the tournament annually.

As we continue to grow rapidly, it is vital for us to retain a strong culture in line with our values, as this is key to us providing our customers and excellent service. Events such as the Constellation Cup are helping us to build this strong culture throughout the business at all levels, and enable our colleagues to form connections and friendships with other colleagues that they would not necessarily otherwise meet.

A strong network within the business is essential to ensure that we are able to react to customer needs and the wider market in a nimble and responsive manner, and stay ahead of the competition. It also enables continuous improvement in our operations, through sharing of best practices.

All the teams demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout, with strong competition for the cup. The final standings saw the Nijkerk team take home the cup for the second year running, with Mouscron team coming a close second, and the Ireland team in 3rd place. Next year, the event will be hosted in Ireland, where we are hoping that even more colleagues will participate!

The event was held at the Grenstrappers Kolonie football club, and we would like to thank them for allowing us to use their pitches. Following the matches, the staff enjoyed a BBQ dinner.
