2024 will see the go-live of our 13,000-pallet facility in Tønsberg, Norway. The facility will include best-in-class value-added service capability, including microwave tempering and plate freezing.
Capital Investment: Nijkerk, Netherlands
Constellation completed construction of a new 18,500 expansion project in Nijkerk, enabling further growth in the region. The project includes a solar array and sustainable modern construction.
Acquisitions: Colso Coldstorage and VF Cold Stores, Ireland
Constellation acquires Colso and VF, entering the Irish market for the first time and providing key strategic locations close to two of Ireland’s major ports in Dublin and Cork.
Completion of rebranding of Constellation’s acquired companies
Constellation completes the rebranding of all companies acquired to date, a significant step in becoming one company and One Team.
Capital Investment: Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands
Constellation invests in energy efficiency optimisation technology in the Netherlands, reducing the facility’s energy consumption by almost 5%.
Capital Investment: Solar panels
Constellation continues its investment in solar generation, installing over 6MW solar in 2023 across the UK, Norway, and Belgium. This marks another step in reducing our emissions in line with our goal to reach net zero by 2050.
Acquisition: ACS&T Logistics, UK
Constellation strengthens its position in the UK market with the acquisition of ACS&T, providing an additional 97,000 pallet positions of capacity Grimsby and the Midlands.
Capital Investment: Mouscron, Belgium
Constellation completes construction of a new 28,500-pallet automated high-bay facility in Mouscron (ICE 2). The site boasts a solar array along with modern and energy-efficient plant and construction, minimising the site’s environmental footprint and contributing to the company’s net zero goals.
Capital Investment: Lommel, Belgium
Constellation completes a €2.1m investment to improving the efficiency and resilience of the automated storage system at the Lommel site. The project creates cost savings and future-proofs the site for customer growth.
Capital Investment: Val-de-Meuse, France
Constellation completes a €500k investment project to optimise the efficiency of the refrigeration plant at the French facility, achieving 40% energy savings.
Acquisition: Vrieshuis Lagemaat, Netherlands
Vrieshuis Lagemaat in Nijkerk, Netherlands, becomes Constellation’s seventh acquisition. This strengthens Constellation’s presence in the Dutch market, and provides strong customer relationships and state-of-the-art blast freezing capability.
Acquisition: Frigologix, Belgium
Constellation expands its leading position in the Belgian market with the acquisition of Frigologix. The acquisition also provides a site in France, marking the beginning of Constellation’s expansion into the French market.
Acquisition: Göteborgs Fryshus, Sweden
Constellation enters Sweden with the acquisition of Göteborgs Fryshus. The move adds two facilities in Gothenburg in a key strategic location close to a major port.
Acquisition: HSH Coldstores, UK
Constellation’s growth continues with the acquisition of HSH in the UK, adding 81,000 pallet positions and a modern fleet of over 40 trucks.
Capital Investment: Rakkestad, Norway
Constellation’s commitment to improving its consolidated companies shows clear, with the opening of a 14,400-pallet position expansion in Rakkestad. The project’s completion makes the facility Norway’s largest public coldstore.
