Constellation Cold Logistics agrees to acquire ACS&T

Constellation Cold Logistics (“Constellation”), through its wholly-owned subsidiary HSH Cold Stores Ltd (“HSH”), announced today agreement for the acquisition of ACS&T Logistics (“ACS&T”), a subsidiary of Camellia Plc. The transaction is expected to close on 10th January and will expand and strengthen HSH’s footprint and service offering for existing and new customers. Constellation is a portfolio company of Arcus Infrastructure Partners (“Arcus”), an independent fund manager with significant experience in European infrastructure investments.

The acquisition will strengthen HSH’s presence as the leading cold storage provider in Grimsby. It will also increase HSH’s strategic presence in the Midlands, with the addition of sites in Wolverhampton and Tewkesbury locations to HSH’s Redditch site. The combined capacity of Constellation will now reach almost 600,000 pallet spaces, 140,000 of which will be in the UK.

“The acquisition of ACS&T will open up huge opportunities for us to improve our customer offering” says Anthony Howard, Managing Director of HSH. “As well as providing an increase in our storage capacity and fleet, our strong financial backing will allow us to invest in the existing facilities and expand the Grimsby and Wolverhampton sites.”

Established in 1921, ACS&T has extensive experience in food storage and distribution across all temperatures. Services include distribution, consolidation, blast freezing, temperature-controlled storage, co-packing and production support.  ACS&T aims to provide an efficient, reliable, and personalised service to all customers regardless of size, and is accredited to BRCGS standard.
