Glacio Rakkestad Expansion

The Norwegian cold storage warehousing company – which together with Lintelo (Netherlands) and Stockhabo (Belgium) form the Constellation Cold Logistics platform – has been hard at work adding additional capacity to its cold storage site, to meet rising demand from across the sector.

With 14,400 new pallet spaces, the Rakkestad site’s total capacity for 37,000 pallets will make it the single largest independent coldstore facility in Norway.

While the number of pallet spaces will increase by 50%, there will be no resultant increase in energy consumption, thanks to installation of a new and even more energy efficient refrigeration system at the site.
