Information regarding the merger of SAL Commercials and Cryotech into HSH Coldstores

HSH Holdings are in the process of consolidating the companies within the HSH group. This consolidation allows HSH to create a more streamlined and efficient structure as the company continues to grow.

As a result, SAL Commercials Limited (SAL Commercials) and Cryotech (Grimsby) Limited (Cryotech) will merge into HSH Cold Stores Limited (HSH Coldstores) from September 2022.

Once the merger is complete, all HSH Holdings’ current storage and distribution services will be provided by HSH Coldstores.

HSH would like to reassure all our stakeholders that there will be minimal changes to operations following the merger. All services currently provided by SAL Commercials and Cryotech will continue to be provided by the same team. However, they will transfer to being employed by HSH Coldstores under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (known as “TUPE”).

Our Accounts Department will send letters to customers and suppliers informing of the upcoming merger and how it will affect them.

The telephone numbers for SAL Commercials and Cryotech’s two facilities will remain the same following the merger. Any existing SAL Commercials or Cryotech email addresses you may have saved in your contacts will continue to be received by our employees, however, please make a note of the new Transport email address, which is transport@hsh.uk. HSH will inform our customers and suppliers of any further changes to contact details should they occur.

Cryotech’s two facilities, Cryotech Birchin Way and Cryotech Thorold Street have now been renamed to:

• HSH Coldstores Birchin Way (Block B)
• HSH Coldstores Thorold Street

Customers who have recently called SAL on 01472 809110 will hear employees answering the phone with ‘HSH’ or ‘HSH Transport’. HSH would like to reassure everyone that the telephone number is still correct, and that you have not reached the wrong company/department. SAL Commercials Transport is now part of HSH Coldstores.
