/19 June 20252025 So Far: An Update on Constellation’s Progress – Carlos Rodriguez, CEOAs we reach the halfway point of 2025, Constellation Cold Logistics continues to build on a foundation of rapid, customer-first growth. In just six months, we’ve made tangible progress across the business – solidifying our expansions into new markets, strengthening local networks, and investing in the technology and leadership that will power the next chapter of our journey. Our mission remains clear: to be Europe’s most trusted cold‑chain partner, delivering smarter, more responsive solutions that help our customers meet their goals.Over the first half of the year, our focus has been on establishing and embedding the right conditions for long-term, scalable growth. That has meant completing key groundwork in our newest markets, reinforcing our governance and leadership structures, and deepening the capabilities of our local operations. With these building blocks now in place, we’re entering the second half of the year with real momentum – ready to integrate our European network more tightly, enhance our offer to customers, and move confidently toward our long-term ambition of a fully connected pan-European cold‑chain network.Let’s look at the progress we have made in each of our core markets, our wider innovation and leadership strategy, and our plans for the rest of 2025 and beyond.> UK & Ireland> Nordics> BENEFR> Leadership and innovationUK & IrelandThe UK and Ireland remain a cornerstone of our business – a position further strengthened by our acquisition of CGI Coldstores in Dublin and Cork at the end of last year. This added 40,000 pallet positions to our network and expanded our capacity to support customers across a wider range of sectors with greater flexibility and scale. Over the past six months, we’ve focused on building on that momentum – investing in innovation and service enhancements to deliver even greater value to our customers. In the UK, a major expansion is underway at our Grimsby site, a key seafood hub, where we’re on track to add 49,000 pallet positions – with the expanded site set to be operational by September – and pursue MSC certification in direct response to customer demand for more sustainable cold storage. We are also progressing with our fully automated facility in Wolverhampton, which will use 4-way shuttle technology to improve efficiency, reduce energy use, and set new standards in cold chain automation. This growth has been guided by our service-led blueprint, developed by Chief Growth Officer Abhy Maharaj, which puts customer needs at the heart of every strategic investment we make. Whether expanding infrastructure, introducing new value-added services, or investing in new technology, every decision is designed to enhance reliability, flexibility, and service quality.I look forward to keeping you up to date on these projects, as our significant investment in the UK & Ireland begins to see tangible results for our customers across our network.NordicsThe Nordics remain one of our fastest-growing regions, with major developments completed and underway across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.Following the official launch of Constellation Denmark back in January, in March we began construction of a new cold store in Aarhus to meet rising demand, expanding our current footprint there by 52,000 (euro) pallet positions was approved, with a proposed go live of early 2027. We’re also in the process of doubling our plate freezing capacity to improve efficiency and sustainability.‘In March investment to build a new site in Aarhus, expanding our current footprint there by 52,000 (euro) pallet positions was approved, with a proposed go live of early 2027.’In Sweden last year, we broke ground on a new 32,000-pallet facility in Rollsbo/Kungälv to expand storage and packing capacity. This development is ongoing, and will ease pressure on our fully utilised sites and improve national distribution. In Norway, we are expanding our Tønsberg site in partnership with Nortura, adding enhanced value-added services including microwave tempering, plate and blast freezing, and repacking. We’re also trialling AI-powered energy management systems at sites in Denmark and Norway, using real-time supply and weather data to optimise energy use. These trials are already delivering insights that will help improve efficiency, lower emissions, and enhance service across our entire European network. Our focus for the rest of 2025 is on completing these expansions, scaling successful technology trials, and delivering tailored, high-performance cold chain solutions across the region.BENEFRThe BENEFR region remains a strategic logistics corridor for Constellation, supporting both domestic and cross-border supply chains. So far in 2025, we’ve focused on expanding storage, automation, and our value-added services across the region. In Belgium, our fully automated high-bay warehouses in Mouscron continue to lead on efficiency, and we are actively exploring new growth opportunities – including further automation and food processing support services. In the Netherlands, we completed an 18,500-pallet expansion at our Nijkerk site at the start of the year, incorporating sustainable construction and solar power. We are now sharing learnings from this across the network. In France, we’re laying the groundwork for new development at Val de Meuse, building on the 23,000 pallet positions gained via Frigologix. Although currently a smaller operation, it benefits from full access to our pan-European expertise and investment pipeline.Looking ahead, we are scaling customs-compliant services and piloting new value-added offerings – including unpacking, repacking, and shrink-wrapping – to support smoother supply chains. These efforts are designed to simplify logistics for cross-border customers while maintaining the flexibility and responsiveness Constellation is known for.Leadership and InnovationBehind these regional developments is a wider strategic shift, guided by new additions to our leadership and an evolving vision for what cold‑chain logistics can deliver. In early 2025, we established a new Advisory Board with four senior appointments, bringing decades of logistics and supply‑chain experience into the business. This governance layer will help us make informed, long-term decisions as we scale across Europe.Meanwhile, we’ve continued to invest heavily in technology – rolling out automation, AI-enabled picking systems, and data-driven monitoring tools to ensure consistent quality, transparency, and performance across our network. These technologies aren’t just operational upgrades; they’re enablers of better service and deeper trust. Our customer service blueprint, now embedded across all markets, ensures that this innovation always aligns with real-world needs – making life easier for customers, and never more complicated.Looking AheadConstellation is entering the second half of 2025 with momentum, clarity, and purpose. The groundwork we’ve laid this year has been focused and deliberate, and we’re now in a strong position to accelerate into the next phase. As we move into the second half of 2025, our focus is on deepening integration across the network, scaling successful innovations, and completing key infrastructure projects already underway. From automation to energy management and value-added services, the progress made in the first half of the year is now shaping a more connected and customer-focused cold chain. With strong foundations in place across all regions, we’re accelerating toward a unified European platform – one that delivers greater efficiency, reliability, and value for our customers at every stage. We’re proud of the progress so far, and even more excited for what’s to come.Post navigationUnderstanding Your Freezing and Tempering OptionsMove to –15°C Coalition Welcomes New Members as Global Movement to Increase Frozen Food Temperatures Gains Pace
